Deutsche Bank

Health, Safety & Environment eLearning suite delivered

A major new eLearning project has been delivered to Deutsche Bank in the UK.

Running across the bank's intranet and launched from their custom LMS, the program comprises a suite of interactive modules including topics such as Fire & Emergency, Hazard Awareness, Health & Well Being and Stress Awareness.

Language independence
The program has been developed as a separate 'program shell' drawing ALL its text and audio content from external files. This enables Deutsche Bank to create an unlimited number of alternative language versions without re-programming.

The tool provided by TNA automates the creation of new xml files directly from the storyboard script Word files. So, to produce a German version for example would simply require our client to follow these steps:

- translate the English Word scripts to German
- generate German xml files using the TNA tool
- record a German version of the narration, from the translated script
- edit and save German mp3 files, using file names from the script
- place German xml and mp3 files in the appropriate folders

The eLearning would now be able to run in English and German! The use of xml files also enables Unicode fonts to be specified for the display of ‘double byte’ and ‘right to left’ languages such as Arabic.

National Grid

1. eLearning modules delivered for High Voltage electrical safety training

TNA is developing a large suite of engineering safety modules for National Grid, under its 'preferred supplier' contract. Modules on the safe procedures for Earthing high voltage equipment, servicing high voltage Capacitors and in the safe use of mobile elevated platforms are now in use and several other modules - including one on 'Overhead Line Working' - are in production.

Separate assessment programs have also been developed by TNA to confirm understanding and achievement of the learning objectives for each course.

The modules are all SCORM-compliant and are launched from the National Grid LMS.

2. New eLearning suite on business ethics

A major eLearning program entitled 'Doing the Right Thing' has also been delivered for National Grid. Topics include bribery, gifts, competition law and information protection and the program is for use by staff in the UK and USA.

The objective of the program is to provide professional guidance and 'best practice' examples to assist staff in making ethical and legal decisions in their business dealings with others.

London Underground

Interactive 3D tour of the new Victoria Line infrastructure, systems and stock

The Victoria Line is to be upgraded with new trains, Service Control Centre and high-tech infrastructure to securely monitor and control that network.

TNA modelled (in photo-realistic 3D) every element of the new system to produce a narrated, interactive ‘flying eye’ journey.

Along the way, the user may pause at key locations to explore highlighted equipment.

A major pharmaceutical company

Corporate staff eInduction

An exciting new staff induction program has been delivered to an existing pharmaceutical industry client.

The induction modules cover topics including company history (using interactive timelines and 'clickable' key events), industry compliance, HR policies and procedures, employee benefits and product families.

'Virtual interviews' with staff provide new employees with expert guidance and advice and self-check exercises help build knowledge and confidence.

The program also has a large on-line library of linked reference material such as glossaries, manuals and relevant web pages, all of which may be edited by the client without programming.

A global energy company

Multi-language Corporate eInduction

TNA has won a brand new contract with a company who discovered us at the 'World of Learning' Exhibition last year! (So these shows do work ...)

We are providing a bespoke 'mini LMS' to launch the Induction and track their new employees' progress worldwide as well as hosting the system. The program will be completed during Q2 2009 and will enable our client to add any number of alternative language versions without re-programming.
